please please please play pyre it's supergiants most underrated game and it's so so good. definetly better than transistor at least, i'm not quite sure how it compares to bastion & hades since i haven't played them much.

Bayonetta
welcome to the only AAA game on this whole dang list.
i first played bayonetta on the family xbox at a formative age. bought the pc port when it came out. still great. i am very bad at it still.
Abzû
beautiful. fantastic art direction, soundtrack, story. there's no words so the story's a lil opaque but it's good!!! it is a swimming game though so it's got a bit atypical controls but i found them pretty intuitive (on a controller). sometimes seen as a spiritual successor to Journey since a bunch of the same people worked on it.

The Pathless
from the same people as Abzû so same fantastic art direction, same composer, there's actually words this time. unlike Abzû there's no swimming! the movement is absolutely INCREDIBLE and the puzzles range in quality but are generally quite fun. fantastic character design, which there wasn't much of in Abzû. definetly play Abzû first if you think you might be interested in Abzû tho. not gonna say why but as a vary big Abzû fan i was super pleased with a thing that happened and was not expecting it in the least.
